a rave from the man with the [now] golden tongue…
how do you write about the best meal you ever ate without losing yourself in too much flowery language and teary-eyed mumblings?
well, its not easy lemme tell you. its also in a way a sad moment, when you have dicovered the best restaurant ever. because now, face it, the hunt is over.
but hell, this is it. joia in milano is totally perfect. gourmet vegetarian italian food with a japano-chinese aesthetic.
the food? i dont really find the words to talk about the food. i ate gold! literally! a goldleaf on safran riccotta was the maincourse…. but uhm…
let me tell you a story instead. i was eating away quietly, floating in bliss, when this austrian model and her italian bf came in and sat down at the table right behind me. she was real pretty, of course, if you’re into blondies, but she was the most annoying chick i have ever encountered. she had the most squeeky, is screetchy a word?, voice and talked extremly loud to make sure everybody heard exactly how cool she was. needless to say this irritated me quite abit. but why am i telling this? well, whenever the next course came i forgot the world around me completly, including the most annoying model, and just enjoyed eating my food. in other words the food was so fantastic that it made me lose myself in it. and: even more surprisingly, the model got more and more quiet as the evening went on…
