kraftwerk last night. we wake up. bombed out.
i say: ich fuehle mich komplett ausgetrocknet – wie ein alter schwamm, der unter dem waschbecken verloren ging [= i feel completely dried up – like a sponge that got lost underneath the sink].
she says: ich fuehle mich als ob die innereien meiner ohren geschwollen waeren [= i feel like the insides [she actually said innards/guts?] of my ears are swollen].
kraftwerk last night. odd and fascinating and great. the visuals were in equal parts too bloody obvious – i think you can name each song from the images above, or cant you? – and quite impressive [especially tour de france]. the sound was incredibly clean, not loud per se, but with tons of pressure.
kraftwerk last night. they had signs up everywhere saying: no cameras – no filming – no recording. at the door they took away people’s cameras – but not their smart phones. 😉
hence as soon as the gig begins hands shoot up in the air holding mobile phones, filming, taking pictures, recording, toothing, you name it. i for one wished i had an umts-phon that would let me stream the concert onto my website, you know… oh, in a few years time…
kraftwerk last night. i tried toothing, but everybody rejected my messages. is kraftwerk not attracting the technical elite anymore, maybe? finally two messages went through. right after that i had to dissappear 4 a sec. when i came back to the spot monkeypunk had received two guys contacts on her phone. with phone numbers! how weird…
kraftwerk last night. after the concert i went to bed beat, wondering: why do i have “i am sailing” stuck in my head? of all songs why “i am sailing”? why?
