paypal stinks!

paypal has blocked my account without informing me why. they claim that i made a payment via my paypal account that was in violation of their acceptable use policy. however they failed to inform me, what the payment in question was. this is me trying to find out what the deal is:

1. try:
Form Message: why is my account limited?
customer message: i was just trying to make a payment and found out that my account is now limited for some reason. could you please inform me why this is so?

thanx very much

2nd try:
Form Message: i know that is has been limited, but why?
customer message: good day Erin Croy

thanx for your reply. unfortunately it did not help me at all.

the url you gave me did not give me any info i did not have already and there is no section entitled ‘How can I restore my account access?’.

now the question i have is: why was my account limited?

i looked through my payment history again and i cannot make out a payment that does not comply with your acceptable use list.

which one of my payments lead to my account being limited?

i was never informed in that regard which is what i find most disturbing here…

Dear Jan Zuppinger,

Thank you for contacting PayPal. We apologize for the delay in responding to your service request.

Your account was limited because of violation against our Acceptable Use Policy.

PayPal has added an Acceptable Use Policy to the User Agreement to further clarify items that may be sold using PayPal, as well as any items sold or advertised on a website listed in PayPal Shops. This new policy will replace the PayPal Shops Allowable Goods and Services Guidebook to better inform buyers and sellers of their many responsibilities when transacting online and to create a safer method for transacting online for a broad and diverse community.

The Acceptable Use Policy highlights some of the legal responsibilities buyers and sellers assume when transacting. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the buyers and sellers to ensure they are compliant with all applicable laws. All customers will be required to follow the guidelines set forth in the Acceptable Use Policy. Sellers should also carefully read both eBay and PayPal guidelines if they plan on using PayPal as their payment processor for eBay auctions, storefronts, and websites. Failure to comply with these policy changes may result in limitations placed on your ability to use the PayPal system.

hi there

this is becoming abit like pulling teeth.

i have asked two times already, why my account was limited?

by that i mean the concrete payment.
which payment was it that did not fit the acceptable use policy?

as i said i have looked through my payment history and i cannot see a
payment that would violate the acceptable use policy. at least not to my knowledge.

could you please point out to me which payment was the reason that my account was limited?
i need a paypal account!
what can i do to get it active again?

Dear Jan Zuppinger,

Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concern.

I have forwarded your question to our compliance department. I am unable to review these cases. Therefore a customer service representative from our compliance department will let you know against which policy you have been in violation.

I am sending you again a summary of our acceptable use policy. Maybe by reading it, you can find out, what the reason for closing your account was.
