bushism is so not funny anymore1 min read

a few month ago i ordered the bushism dvd. it took forever to get here. in fact it came here well after the us elections…
so then for awhile i could not get myself to watch it.

well, yesterday i tried.

this is so not funny anymore.
in fact, now that bush got re-elected it is much more tragic than anything else.
and to think that millions of americans indorsed this idiot and his dangerous politics with their votes… how could that happen?

not even buildabetterbush does it for me anymore…

man… what a nightmare.

  1. I guess i get your point. As a matter of fact, when i learned that the other cunt got reelected, my first reaction was: “i don’t want to hear anyrhing about the USA for sometimes, i’ve just enough of it”. For years i’ve been too focused about it all, and now i’ve got that strange feeling that things are really not likely to change for quite a long time there.

Funny, i’ve always been critical towards the foreign policy of the USA, and made my colleagues at gymnasium laugh when i told them that the USA were a growing threat to the world (which might tag me as an “anti-american”, since it seems to be the easy shortcut nowadays). Back then, i was always replied by my mother (who worked in the USA younger): “You don’t know anything about this country. You can alway get the worse but also the best in there”. Now, she does not recognize the country she studied in in the 1970’s – specially the (absence of) resistance on the uni campus…

  2. good point. same here. i lived there for 6 years and not in the easiest of times. 1986 – 1992. so that was during some reagan and all of bush sen. but now i really dont understand whats going on there anymore. 9/11 had an unimaginable effect after all…

my friends in the bayarea assure me that the resistance will be huge and that many people are considering means that have been simply never on the map in us political street activism. like for instance using violence against objects during demonstrations. i can tell you from experience that this is much harder to do, if you know that the cops might shoot real bullets against anybody at any moment.

but i guess what has changed most is not the missing resistance but the missing communication about the resistance. which is surprising considering what blogs managed to do in that regard.

might be that everybody now is just “hung over” and/or still in denial. but the next “faux pas” of the bush administration will create havoc. i am certain… as certain as about the fact that there will be such a “faux pas”.

what does not work any longer is to simply laugh bush off. because fooled-us-once bush has now become fooled-us-twice…
