warchildmusic.com (why .com?) sells music downloads for charity.
radiohead, björk, green day, kylie, iggy pop have all offered exclusive tracks to the pay-per-download service. there is also a monthly subscription deal that lets you download 5 tracks per any given month. tonspion [=via] informs that apparently radiohead have donated their whole back catalogue to this noble service, but i can’t seem to confirm this on the website.
i think this is a very smart model, me likeee… with all the “free” mp3’w we “find” on the interweb it feels like donating to charity takes care of that. i am just curious to see what kind of DRM they slapped onto their mp3’s. keep ya posted.

and i am sure it is raising more money than this fruitarian busker, who i am sure is busking for some (undisclosed) charity or other… [via sis]
