oh oh, we may have a situation. the photo that alfie’s friend adam stacey took during the london underground attacks, the one alfie posted @ moblog.co.uk and that from there was spread around the world, is nominated for TIME: best photo of the year 2005 award. (this is a flash application, scroll to page 20 of 26)
the problem is the author is quoted as “adam stacey, gamma”, yet the image was cleary posted under a CC-BY license. this could still turn out to be “just” a fuck up, but it could also be quite a major CreativeCommons violation. so any lawyers out there looking for a CreativeCommons case, this might be your chance…
