last weekend while driving to the lake f. discovered a village called misery on the map. it was not too far off the road so we went for a short visit. excellent place!!! exquisite. is it paradise? could a small village called misery be paradise?

i think we must all move to misery. missie w. must! come along and we could have a commune with pets named helium that keep saying “miseriiieeeeeeeeee”. i mean come on, there is even a restaurant misery in the village … can’t you just hear it? “lets go get drunk on absinthe at the restaurant misery”

    I’m from the SW of the UK and I lived in Misery/FR for 12 years. I now live in Basel where there is slightly more going on than in Misery. But it was a nice friendly place and all my visitors from outside Switzerland wanted to be photographed next to the village sign! It was not a bad time – I played in the village band & was in the fire brigade, what more could you want from a village??
