today is Buy Nothing Day international, the day to help us ” remember that no one was born to shop”.
from the information email. “Recycling, protecting our waterways, driving hybrid cars — all the old environmental imperatives — are great, but it’s becoming obvious that they don’t address the core problem: we have to change our lifestyles, we have to change our culture, and we have to consume smarter and consume less”
oh man i went shopping and bought some xmas presents and double-sided sticky tape. Also went candle-pin bowling for the first time.
in the past I’ve done black friday events. I suck.
