tour de resistance is one action among many as part of the g8 anti-evian protests. last thursday a group of 200 bicyclists started in bern and rode their bicycles peacefully down to lausanne. this was a strictly non-violent action, very well received – cheered at even – everywhere the tour passed through.
the media falsification: covering the tour de resistance the media used the image of a man wearing a gasmask [not the pic shown here! i could not find the image in question online. cheerz missie w!]. in the caption it said, that this was proof for the readiness for violence of this dangerous group of radicals.
the truth: the guy was wearing the gasmask because of his extremly severe hayfever. otherwise he could not have participated in this outdoor action.
