i just received the following email thanking me for my participation in this years webby awards. the problem is, i did not vote this year, nor did i mention it on my blog. nothing. what’s going on here?

I’d say they’ve been hacked. Do a search for “webby awards” and in the search results for the site is a Google notice saying “This site may be compromised.” Then if you go to the page there’s some weird activity with a brightly colored banner ad that flashes and disappears.
