HOW SYMBOLIC CAN THINGS GET?

it’s tragic [yet almost comical at the same time…]: an 18 year old from somewhere in switzerland wishes to receive a parachute jump for his 18th birthday. his mother decides to offer it to him as a gift. the day arrives. he does the jump. the parachute gets entangled. he falls and dies. on the ground the mother is watching.
psychological interpreters could have a field-day with this story!
