these last few days the fans of young boys football club have collected 7’000 signatures to protest the recent scandalous attacks against the clubs president and manager. a long story! a big powergame me thinks.
but then today there was an actual demonstration!
i of course had to see this to believe it.
500 football fans caring banners and red cards, walking in protest.
it was odd, confusing, amazing, weird and great!
one friend of mine jokingly said : finally a demonstration, where i can fully support the cause.
i would not go as far. to me this was also a very symbolic situation.
former left wing tactics have now completly gone main-stream.
the only notable difference, the football demonstrators did their whole march neatly on the sidewalks and avoided all provocations.
