“QUEENSLAND education authorities have apologised after year 11 students were asked to write a suicide note.
The students at Windaroo Valley State High School, south of Brisbane, were also asked to discuss A Prayer Before Birth, a poem by Louis MacNeice about an unborn child facing abortion.

“There’s enough death and despair and hopelessness in the world without the schools having to teach this stuff,” Mr Koy told Channel 10.
“We spend millions of dollars each year trying to prevent this sort of thing with young people.”
