GGG re: GGG[GoogleGuessingGame]

GGG has been running for 2 month. we have published 50 GGG-strips.
thats 23 3-word-strips, 23 4-word-strips, and a few odd ones. monkeypunk [3] and Phlow [2], silverfang and TOmaxwell have suggested or contributed GGG-strips, the others were done by yours truely…
all of the puzzles have been solved - by a total of 14 people.
a few people have played for awhile and then dissappeared, others have stuck around quite some time…
here is how it breaks down:

phlow: 13
cory: 9
rrothechild VII: 5
worthy_m & monkeypunk: 4 each
Josella: 3
Jack, wurzeltod, RRT & habi 2 each
another road side attraction, Padd, Steve & Scott Tarpley: 1 each

now, if google would finally come around and see the beauty of this game and start to sponsor it, we would now proceed to hand to the top 3 players their hard-earned google shares… he he
[anyone has good connections to google and could line this up?]

here’s my favorite answer to a strip so far: this was an answer to strip: GGG031: 3 words 15. to this Anonymous answered: “A Cat”
awwwwww, thats sooo cute, no?

pieceoBolitix adbuster calls for submissions

Please join us in a crazy, yet profound, journey into a radical new future.

Imagine this… you wake up tomorrow morning and find out that the Dow Jones has just plunged 2,000 points. Trading has been halted. Over the next few weeks:

* Major stock markets around the world crash
* Banks close
* Supermarket shelves are half-empty
* Power is intermittent, gasoline hard to find, email sporadic

Violent gangs and bandits roam the streets. People move to the country - if they can. Governments try to maintain order, yet it appears that the old globalized order is gone, if not forever, then for a long, long time.

Six months later, you hear that Adbusters is working on a post-crash issue. We are sending out word that we can see a positive trend in what happened: innovative survival strategies are emerging, along with thriving local economic systems; borders are being redrawn on bioregional lines. We have a chance to create the new world that we’ve always dreamed about.

Can you take a mental trip into this strange future? Can you imagine what life would be like? Where did you end up? How did you survive? What are you doing now? Send us a lament, a vision, a poem, something mystical. What are the best post-crash jokes going around? What have you seen or heard in your neighborhood?

Or send us a how-to tip. How do you cook, clean your teeth, keep your computer running? How do you kill a chicken?

No more than 250 words please: be creative and be authentic. The next issue will be a compilation of the best stories sent in, and each published contribution will receive three brand new Adbusters 2005 calendars.

frenZINE # 8
[the latest issue of frenZINE wonders if street art is limited to stickers, graffitti and stencils or if art can just naturally occur in the streets]

wwWank thoughts on blogging mp’s @ the guardian

although practically every MP now has an official website, the sad truth is that virtually none has attracted many people. you could fit the audience of most MP’s websites into a church hall and still have room to play football. online campaigning in Britain has been tagged as “the dog that didn’t bark”, as voters have stayed away from the hundreds of MPs’ websites launched over the course of the past two parliaments. it is easy to see why. Most MPs websites are among the most boring on the internet.

blogs could make mp’s websites somewhat more interesting says sean dodson @ the guardian

pieceoBeatz dollboy - plans for a modern city

the postman usually only brings crap. bills, commercials and other spam on paper.
not so yesterday… i received something in the mail from the brummie dubby different drummer label… its always fab to get their music, but dollboy is especially cool.
“where did this one come from? floating down from one of last summer’s brilliant blue skies? sliding in from a parallel dimension?” they ask on the liner notes. good point… this is so … errr… different, fresh, new; i am sure i have never heard sumink like it… ambient played with actual instruments? pedal steel guitars, harmonica, trumpets, piano…
in some ways its so not a summer release, yet it totally is… [especially in this sad ass of a summer] bombahstic!
