i have to admit google’s explanation made some sense to me. but still. this campaign gets all my support.

edit: aha, there’s a hack: “Chinese web users can see full, uncensored results for their Google search by replacing “&meta=” with “&meta=cr%3DcountryBR” in the URL. Once the string is replaced, the censorship will not affect the results.” see it in action, and read it on digg.
Blogumne - 00015 alles und nichtsin einer zeit in der politiker schauspieler sein müssen und schauspieler zu politikern werden, klingt eine aussage wie die folgende erstaunlich erfrischend: “es kann doch nicht sein, dass wir für angelina jolie einen höheren aufwand betreiben als für angela merkel. die bringt sonst unser ganzes sicherheitsdispostiv durcheinander.” jolie, mit göttergatte pitt im handgepäck, hatte am WEF gegen armut und soziale ungerechtigkeit gesprochen, um später im hotel rumzuzicken, weil sie statt einer präsidentensuite nur eine normale suite erhalten hatte. die erwähnte aussage stammt von einem “genervten polizisten” und ich finde sie zum schreien komisch. da stemmt sich ein währschafter bündner polizist gegen den zeitgeist, dass es nur so ächzt und kracht. sagenhaft. im blick gelesen.
der blick gehört zu meiner samstagslekture. wie auch der bund, le temps, facts und, leider, das magazin.
das magazin (die samstagsbeilage vom tagi, bund etc.) ist so eine sache. man greift es sich eigentlich jeden samstag, blättert es möglichst zügig durch, in der hoffnung nichts darin zu finden, was man lesen muss. weil man hat ja eigentlich keine zeit und eh schon zu viel zu lesen, coden, upgraden, websurfen, gamen. eine hoffnung die jedoch praktisch jedesmal enttäuscht wird, denn es hat fast immer mindestens einen spannenden artikel drin im verflixten magi. man liest ihn also entweder gleich, mürrisch, oder das heft landet auf dem stetig wachsenden stapel der zu lesenden artikel. einen stapel, den man dann alle paar monate möglichst grosszügig entsorgt, wenn man dazu in der richtigen stimmung ist.
aber es reicht jetzt. das magazin soll jetzt endlich aufhören so gut zu sein. bitte. es gibt bereits so zu viel essentiellen lesestoff für uns informationsjunkies. eine kleine hoffnung schimmert bereits durch, vielleicht kommt jetzt endlich die wende? die letzten drei nummern waren etwas schwächer. da spart man sowas von zeit. zeit, die man wie gesagt eh nicht hat.
die kolumne von michèle roten (im magi) ist zum glück sehr schnell wieder herausgefallen aus meinem lesepflichtenheft. die las ich drei mal mit begeisterung, weitere vier bis sieben mal aus gewohnheit und seither blättere ich möglichst rasch weiter, wenn ich auf der entsprechenden seite gelandet bin; mit einem geräusch, welches etwa so klingt: “wuächhhh”. selbstdarstellerische kolumnen sind wirklich das letzte. blogs eigentlich auch. und dennoch verbreiten sich beide weiterhin unaufhaltsam.
ich lese gerade “mediated” von thomas de zengotita, und habe somit nun auch eine sauber auf den punkt gebrachte theorie zum phänomen. kolumnen und blogs passen zum trend wonach nachrichten nicht mehr bloss dort draussen stattfinden, sondern der bezug zum zuschauer, zum wahrnehmden, ins zentrum gerückt wird. tv liefert uns die bilder frei haus und macht jeden zum kleinen regisseur mit seiner fernbedienung. der zuschauer übernimmt die kontrolle und siehe da, plötzlich wird wo ich war als xy geschehen ist fast wichtiger als was tatsächlich geschehen ist. und in unserem mit tragödien übersättigten alltag verlangen die zuschauer/regisseure vermehrt nach einfachen, nachvollziehbaren emotionen. sie wollen gefühle, die sie selber auch kennen. darum die reality shows und die empathischen präsidenten und die blogs und die kolumnen.
sags und schreibe selber eine art kolumne. absurd. aber eben, jeder sein kleiner star im selbstinszenierten drama seines lebens. zumindest ist mir dabei bewusst, wie pathetisch das ganze ist. die kolumne als der öffentliche versuch zu sagen, meine meinung zählt. stimmt aber nicht. tut sie absolut nicht. meine meinung, wie auch die von michèle roten, ist absolut irrelevant. meinungen sind eh überbewertet. es zählt nur was sache ist.
nun, die frage drängt sich auf: warum schreibe ich weiterhin meinen blog und speziell diese kolumne, errr blogumne? ich muss gestehen, ich weiss es nicht. manchmal, im idealfall, weil ich sie schreiben muss, sprich, der text wird mir quasi diktiert. irgendwann werde ich wie zum dikatat zitiert. dann lasse ich besser alles stehen und liegen, und renne an meinen compi. möglichst nichts darf mich während den nächsten paar stunden ablenken, egal ob wie jetzt 5 uhr früh ist oder ob gleich chelsea - arsenal am tv läuft. schreib. aber manchmal zuckt mir schon der finger am “delete” knopf rum.
so, ich höre jetzt besser auf. sonst wird diese blogumne noch zu gut und bleibt bei der einen oder beim anderen im RSS-reader hängen und diese/r muss sie dann mürrisch gleich lesen, oder mit den anderen lesepflichten bookmarken. bookmarks, die dann alle paar monate, wenn in der richtigen stimmung, grosszügig wieder gelöscht werden.

total random, it could hit anyone really as they are only interested to set some exemplary cases. sucks.
anyway, the thing i got stuck with is the fact, that in order to catch people in P2P networks, they have to participate in them. they, or the company who does the dirty work for them (probably logistep), have to download songs via P2P networks to see who else is doing it.
well, couldn’t we accuse them of illegally downloading music then??? hah… i knowwww. naive. lawyers?
meanwhile i still wait for the flatfee model. i would totally pay some monthly flatfee to download the music i really want, not just some pop junk, DRM free, high-quality mp3.
