pieceoBabbel de nihilio nihil, in nihilum nil posse reverti?

weeehheeeee, moss and the gang are back, very much so, and what a great first episode to season 2 this was. the IT crowd still is hilarious; it’s great to have this series back, but mostly moss really, a huge fan of moss i am. it took only 23 minutes to download, *hint hint*.

wwWank arse elektronika - the pr0n con

ars electronica 2007

it’s that time of the year again, i am getting ready and getting exited to visit ars electronica in a few weeks. goodbye privacy, the theme of this years festival, seems relevant and interests me very much - this could be a good year:

Mobile and ubiquitous—no longer just here and now, but being present wherever you want to be, whenever you want to be. These long-nurtured yearnings that have been projected so euphorically onto new technologies have now materialized into the reality of our time. A reality that is woven from a network in which every user is a node, every exit simultaneously an entrance, every receiver a transmitter too.

the ars electronica will take place in linz from 5.-11.9.2007.

arse elektronika

exactly one month later, 5.-7.10., the arse elektronika will take place in san francisco, the tagline reads “pr0nnovation? pornography and technological innovation”:

A conference about pr0nnovation?
According to a study by Simon Smith, more than 800 items were registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office as sex toys between 1840 and 1997. Among them was a condom with a built-in computer chip that can play music. Progress?

From the depiction of a vulva in a cave painting to the newest internet porno, technology and sexuality have always been closely linked. No one can predict what the future will bring, but history indicates that sex will continue to play an essential role in technological development.

this made me lol, of course. funny.

ideeSwiss couchPotato Pong Dress

yesterday we went to the pong.mythos exhibit. quite nice. next to the obvious pieces like pain station by //////////fur//// and Tft Tennis v180° by Dirk Eijsbouts there were also a number of artistic pong renditions that i had never seen before, most notable maybe Pong Dress that was shown - or should i rather say worn? - by one of its creators, i think her name is marguerite charmante.

from their website:

the little black dress as erotic real playground for pong? when marguerite charmante wears her new neck top and offers the game controllers, attached at her lap height. we cannot resist being seduced to play! a charming seduction for playing, since it is possible to play the stylish plastic LED-grid, which covers chest and stomach area of the dress. from underneath the electric circuit tracks shine through. they are bundled on the side of the heart. pong is the name of the game: hit the dot back and forth with two sticks - this time all new on a 3D playing field, that is moving, chatting and laughing. we hit the dot with some spin from the height of the belly button and aim at the left nipple.
