Title: The Endo Is Near
I respectfully borrowed the title of this mix from the great radio/live show that happened recently in Zürich as an homage to the recently deceased Endo Anaconda.
Endo was a political activist/singer/song-writer from my home town. I knew him in the early 80s and followed his career from a far over all these years. May he rest in power.
The final song in the mix is a version of Endos song Merci interpreted by the young and very talented Follia, who accompanies herself on a contrabass. There is also another great interpretation of Fäderliecht by Sophie Hunger, that I hesitated to include here.
That show The Endo Is Near I can only recommend, it is great testimony of how certain music can have an influence over a wide range of generations.
