Solecast w/ Rory Ferreira (FKA Milo)
“Milo infuses a sense of wonder into his work, toying with the medium and keeps his work engaging without playing into the music industry or its pseudo-hype machine.”
Another discovery for me, what an inspiring artist.
1940 WPA San Francisco Model
“Some details of the model’s history: it is a 42 by 38 foot wooden replica of the city of San Francisco as it was in 1940 in 158 pieces at a scale of 1 inch to 100 feet. The pieces contain about 6,000 removable city blocks.”
What a beautiful, historic map of my favorite city in the world, just wow.
#meditationgames
“Meditations is a launcher that, every day, loads a small game and an accompanying text as a meditation, distraction, lesson, or inspiration for that day.”
I didn’t understand the first game, but it looked interesting.
2018 – A Vintage Year For New Music
“I hope that I’m writing a more positive missive this time next year, if not then at least the music will only get better and better.”
Another fantastic best of yar list by DJ Food
Dear Lobsters: There Is A Better Way
“On Reddit, you can find a forum for “ex-lobsters,” former fans of Canadian psychology professor Jordan Peterson who have become disillusioned by him.”
Apparently quite a few Jordan Peterson-Fans are getting disillusioned.
Ze Zettelkasten
This is an experiment.
Here I plan to post my favorite links to texts, photos, videos, podcasts, recipes, games etc.
The posts are not meant to be viewed individually.
For each post I will post: the original title, image/source (with the external link), a small excerpt plus a short comment.
The tagging, more crucially than the category, will with time start to draw a map of my interests, and hopefully work as a sort of Zettelkasten, as Luhmann has defined it in a way, but less focused on my own writing, and more on quotes, sources, visuals and moods.
I hope that this blog make my links easy to search, easier than my previous link collections (ruff linkage) on my blog.
My blog will only be used for occasional posts of my own writing and maybe some “podcasts”, not sure yet.
My complete link-collection is best viewed on diigo, also available as a rss feed (but careful, usually full of typos).
And you can also check both my twitter accounts for links, that might not appear here, as this is meant as just a selection: pieceoplastic / antiall3s
If this is not working, or it turns out to be more work than the linkdumps, I might return to those at a later date.
